We first envisioned i&i for those who find themselves inspired by books to imagine and create. This year, participate in our annual art competition to create a piece of art based on a book you enjoyed, and stand a chance to win $20 worth of Popular vouchers! PROMPT: 1. Design a book cover for your favourite book. Include a short introduction of the book with its title, author name, and why you enjoy it/how it was like reading it for the first time. OR 2. Create a piece of art (drawing, painting, collage, mixed medium etc.) which depicts a scene from, or a character from a book. Include a short introduction of the book with its title, author name, and why you chose to depict that scene/character. SUBMISSIONS: Please submit your artworks as a digital scan, PDF preferably, and email it as an attachment to [email protected]. IMPORTANT: Include your short introduction, name, age,and contact details (mailing address and email address) in the body of your email. DEADLINE: The deadline for submissions is 20th December, 12 midnight. Results will be announced on 27th December on the think-ink website; winner will be notified personally by email, and receive prize through the mail. PRIZE: 1st place: $20 POPULAR vouchers Winning artwork and runner-ups will be showcased on the think-ink website. QUALIFICATIONS: There are no age limits! Just send us your best work. Limit of one entry per person. JUDGES: We're thrilled to introduce Weixin Quek Chong, our guest judge for this competition! Weixin Quek Chong was trained in a fine arts background and majored in printmaking. She pursued her masters at the Royal College of Art in the UK after completing her studies at LASALLE College of the Arts. Lecturing at LASALLE, NAFA and SUSS, she divides her time between Spain and Singapore. Recently, she was awarded the 2018 Presidents' Young Talent Award. Terms and Conditions: 1.
